18th John E. Norman Cinco De Mayo 10K & 5K Race

The founder of Fayetteville Elite Running, Julio Ramirez, is remembered during this race that brings out over 300 runners each year! The trail passes through famous Fayetteville landmarks such as the Market House, Freedom Memorial Park, and the Airborne & Special Operations Museum. Cash prizes are given for winners, and there will also be climbing walls, face painting stations, a costume contest, and folk dancing! This event is sure to bring Cinco de Mayo fun for the whole family. The 10k is $30 for adults and $20 for kids while the 5k is $25 for adults and $20 for kids.

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

Enjoy authentic mesquite-grilled Mexican favorites like fajitas and tacos at On the Border! On Cinco de Mayo, they're serving up $5 Cinco 'Ritas and $10 Perfect Patron Margaritas all day long! They will also be hosting a party with giveaways, festive music, and more. There will be beer and shot specials as well, making this the perfect spot to toast to Cinco de Mayo in Fayetteville.

El Cazador Mexican Restaurant

This locally-owned family restaurant has been dishing out traditional Mexican cuisine for over 50 years! Authentic spices and flavors are used in their menu items, and, luckily, there's an extensive list of margarita flavors to cool down the heat! Beer, mixed drinks, and traditional Mexican desserts are also served here to make your Cinco de Mayo tastier than ever.

Bright Light Brewing Company

Bright Light is a nano-brewery creating craft beer and wine right here in Fayetteville! On May 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the brewery will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo Pub Run/Walk! The event is pet and family-friendly, and participants are encouraged to dress up in festive costumes in honor of Cinco de Mayo. The run will stop at Third Base Restaurant & Bar, Huske Hardware along the way, and end at Bright Light Brewing Company. While the event is free to participate in, you can choose to purchase a $10 ticket that gets you one beer at each of the three stops!

Paddy's Irish Pub

An Irish pub doing Cinco de Mayo? Yes, you read that right! From 5 p.m. until close, Paddy's will be offering tacos, drink specials, and of course, plenty of beer. Grab some friends and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with an Irish twist this year. 

Mi Casita Restaurant

For 25 years, Mi Casita has been a Fayetteville staple when it comes to Mexican food. They offer a wide variety of authentic dishes in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making this a great spot to bring the whole family for a Cinco de Mayo celebration! Mi Casita also has delicious house-made lime, strawberry, mango, and peach margaritas (make sure to get a pitcher!) as well as a variety of wine and beer.
