Fayetteville SwampDogs Baseball

Celebrating its 19th season, the Coastal Plain League features 15 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts. In 2007, the SwampDogs won a league record 42 games.

In 2010, the SwampDogs head coach Darrell "Skip" Handelsman won his 500th Career summer collegiate baseball.

The Fayetteville SwampDogs are a member of the Coastal Plain League, entering their 15th season in the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league.
