About Pinehurst
Pinehurst is a village in Moore County, North Carolina and is home to the historic golf resort, Pinehurst Resort. A large portion of the central village, including the resorts, is a National Historic Landmark District. This designation was bestowed in 1996 for Pinehurst's landscape design and significance in the history of golf in the United States.
Besides golf, the village has retail and restaurants and the Sandhills Horticultural Gardens. Pinehurst Parks & Recreation oversees Cannon Park & Camelot Playground, Rassie Wicker Park and the Splash Pad, West Pinehurst Community Park, James W. Tufts Memorial Park, Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan implementation, the Arboretum, the Fair Barn and the Pinehurst Harness Track. You'll find lots of golf and recreation in Pinehurst!
