This six week class series provides a supportive environment for the student wanting to learn the fundamentals of clay and wheel throwing. The overall focus of the course is to develop and further the skills necessary for throwing on the potter’s wheel. We cover basic clay preparation, cups, bowls, handles, and glazing. Class time includes demonstrations and open discussions intended to help further the students’ clay vocabulary and knowledge of the wheel. The intimate class size provides an ideal setting that’s great for beginners, lending itself to plenty of opportunities for one-on-one instruction.
The cost of this series is $150.00 and does not include the cost of clay. Clay must be purchased through Pineapple Studios to ensure proper firing for your lovely creations!
This series begins 10/31/19 meeting 6 thursdays from 3-5pm. NO CLASSES 11/26 - 11/28 FOR THANKSGIVING WEEK.
Enrolled students have access to purchase and reserve independent work time during Open Studio hours Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday 12-3pm as well as Friday & Saturday 12-5pm. Information on independent work reservations are given on the first night of classes. Sales are final and can not be refunded, nor can they be transfered to an additional class.
